Induction

Starting school is a big step; both for children and their parents. We appreciate that it is an anxious time for all concerned.

It is important that all children are welcomed into a warm and caring environment where they are going to be happy and enjoy learning. The staff go to great lengths to achieve this.

Before applying for a place parents are very welcome to visit the school to talk to the Headteacher and see the children at work. Appointments to visit may be made through the school office.

Before the children start they are invited to attend induction sessions to meet their teacher and class-mates. The Headteacher also holds briefing meetings for parents and distributes a Information Pack which includes a detailed Parents' Handbook.
